The body is usually made of aluminum or steel that is stamped with the appropriate cross members and everything is mounted directly to it. Mother approved safety stuff.

All wheel drive vehicle. Front and rear wheel drive, tansfer case, driveshafts and axels. The job of a car suspension is to maximize the friction between the tires and the road surface, to provide steering stability with good handling and to ensure the comfort of the passengers. Well not really, just your comfort, you have your hands on the wheel your passengers don't have a clue where you are going.
Vehicle interior structure, safety cages, side door beams, seat structure and subframes. Crumple zones are designed to absorb the energy from the impact during a traffic collision by controlled deformation. Hopefully keeping the sharp bits from the soft bits.
Car Supplemental Resraint System (SRS). Multiple airbag modules in various side and frontal locations of the passenger seating positions, sensors may deploy one or more airbags in an impact zone at variable rates based on the type, angle and severity of impact.
Car HVAC system. Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) is the technology for indoor and automotive ambient comfort. HVAC facilitates in managing the pleasant climate inside the cabin by controlling the degree of hotness/coolness.
Car electrical System. An electrical system consists of the battery, starter and alternator. The battery provides juice to the starter. Then, the alternator gives that battery the energy it needs to power your car. But its not quite as simple as that. Lucas the Prince of Darkness, just for the English.
Vehicle fuel system. Fuel injection is a system for admitting fuel into an internal combustion engine. It has become the primary fuel delivery system used in automotive engines. Carburetors have largely been supplanted in the automotive industry by fuel injection. They are still common on small engines for lawn mowers, rototillers, and other equipment. Guess my Hot Rods are rototillers, No they are not that usefull.
Vehicle fuel system, what goes in better get out as quickly as possible. An exhaust system is piping used to guide reaction exhaust gases away from a controlled combustion inside an engine. The entire system conveys burnt gases from the engine and includes one or more exhaust pipes.
Air suspension is one type of vehicle suspension that is powered by an electric or engine-driven air pump or compressor. This compressor pumps the air into a flexible bellows, usually made from textile-reinforced rubber, better if there is a storage tank. The air pressure inflates the bellows, and raises the chassis from the axle. But it's a lot more fun than that, especially with a large storage tank and large dia. tubing.
Rear wheel drive vehicle. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) typically places the engine in the front of the vehicle and the driven wheels are located at the rear, a configuration known as front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout. They also offer more balanced performance when it comes to power delivery, since the front tires aren't asked to steer and accelerate at the same time.
Integrated Motor Assist. (commonly abbreviated as IMA) The use of an electric motor mounted between the internal combustion engine and transmission to act as a starter motor, engine balancer, and assist traction motor. Energy that used to be wasted when applying brakes is captured and stored as electric power. When the car accelerates, the stored energy is released, helping vehicle performance and cutting down on fuel consumption.
Hydrogen powered vehicle. A fuel cell, which converts hydrogen to electricity, giving off only heat and water as byproducts. Hydrogen fuel does not occur naturally on Earth and therefore is not an energy source, it is an energy carrier. Hydrogen is also highly flammable.
Electric Motor Assist Hybrid Car. In a parallel hybrid car, a gasoline engine and an electric motor work together to move the car forward, while in a series hybrid the gasoline engine either directly powers an electric motor that powers the vehicle or charges batteries that will power the motor.
Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle. Natural gas vehicles (NGVs), which can run on compressed natural gas (CNG). Natural gas vehicles should not be confused with vehicles powered by propane (LPG), which is a fuel with a fundamentally different composition. Existing gasoline-powered vehicles may be converted to run on CNG or LNG
Vehicle Sensors. Just a diagram showing some of the sensors that keep an eye out for you while you can do something such as text somebody, shave, put your makeup on, watch a video, anything but pay attention to your driving.
Vehicle suspension and driveline. Driveline is everything in the drivetrain, less the engine and the transmission. Suspension is the system of tires, springs, shock absorbers and linkages that connects a vehicle to its wheels and allows relative motion between the two.
Vehicle cooling system. Most of the energy in the gasoline (perhaps 7­0%) is converted into heat, and it is the job of the cooling system to take care of that heat.
Vehicle Satellite Connectivity. Communications, in-vehicle security, hands free calling, turn-by-turn navigation, and remote diagnostics systems.
Front-wheel drive (FWD) is a form of engine and transmission layout used in motor vehicles, where the engine drives the front wheels only. Most modern front-wheel-drive vehicles feature a transverse engine. Good traction in slippery conditions; generally more affordable and fuel efficient than rear-wheel drive.
